“Into the Light” (2026 Series)
Captured at sunrise on September 24, 2024, Into the Light portrays a majestic bull elk emerging from the shadows into the first warmth of morning. Taken during the peak of the rut, the scene reflects both chaos and beauty — a moment years in the making. After countless attempts, everything aligned that morning, bringing to life a vision long held in my mind. This image represents not only the wild spirit of the elk but also the joy of perseverance and the magic of being present when light and life converge.

Second Release
It’s time for the next release in my 2026 Limited Edition Series. This print is titled “Under Watchful Eyes.”
Captured on May 20, 2025, in Yellowstone National Park, this photograph features a sow grizzly named Snow keeping watch over her two cubs as they nap beneath a fallen tree. The scene reveals the tender, nurturing side of these incredible animals. For the most part, grizzlies are gentle giants — but don’t let that soft side fool you into getting too close. A mother bear will fiercely defend her young if she feels they’re in danger.
I took this shot with a long lens from a safe distance of roughly 250 yards, allowing their quiet moment to unfold naturally.
